It was our moment to shine.
We were All Blacks.
Loud music playing.
I was nervous and excited at the same time. We were in black and white with silver ferns on our shirts. We had hard hair, it stunk. We had itchy face paint. All the lights were beaming down on us. We were glowing in the dark, spooky night, with hundreds of eyes looking at us. We shook our bootie in the Cupid Shuffle. I was grooving. We danced ‘till the end. Next , the ukulele. We sang and sang and sang. Last but not least, the HAKA!!! People were screaming. Everyone relied on Conor, even the girls!!!
I felt proud as proud can be when we finished.
