I bet those of you who put together or already had survival kits were pleased to have them when the power was out. It just goes to show you never know when you will need a survival kit. Well done to everyone who had one.

An earthquake is a really big shake of the ground. It causes lots damageto the earths crust .

The earth  is made up of tectonic plates. The plates crash together causing a lot of stress.
That builds up energy because the mantel spines around. The plates move and cause an earthquake.

Earthquakes cause lots of damage and destroys houses and buildings.
